The two compact devices offer sufficient performance for computing-intensive graphics, video and 3D programmes. They come with a wide range of connection and expansion options.

Powerful mini computers are popular as an alternative to desktop PCs and laptops due to their small form factor and connectivity options. If you are interested in such a device, you could take a look at our two shop novelties from the brand Minix.

The ER936-AI and ER937-AI mini PCs are designed for demanding applications in the field of artificial intelligence and multimedia. Thanks to their high performance, they can also take on intensive multitasking tasks and handle high computing loads, such as code compilation or complex simulations.

Processor and graphics

Both models are equipped with the latest AMD processor models from the «Ryzen AI 300» series. The ER937-AI is the more powerful model. It uses the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with twelve cores, 24 threads and a boost frequency of up to 5.1 gigahertz. The ER936-AI uses the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with ten cores, 20 threads and up to 5.0 gigahertz.

Both CPUs have an integrated graphics unit (Radeon 890M in the ER937-AI, Radeon 880M in the ER936-AI) and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This is specifically responsible for AI calculations and can therefore greatly reduce the load on the processor. The combined AI computing power is up to 80 TOPS for the ER937-AI and up to 73 TOPS for the ER936-AI.

Memory and connectivity

Both PCs have 32 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM with a clock frequency of 5600 MHz. The RAM can be expanded to up to 96 gigabytes. A PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with one terabyte capacity serves as storage. You can upgrade both computers to up to eight terabytes of storage space. There are two SO-DIMM slots for RAM and two M.2 slots for SSDs.

There are only minor differences in the connectivity options. Both offer Bluetooth, although the ER937-AI is slightly better equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 instead of 5.2. The situation is similar with tri-band Wi-Fi: the ER937-AI uses Wi-Fi 7 instead of Wi-Fi 6.

The physical connections of both computers are the same. You get:

  • 2x 2.5G Ethernet
  • HDMI 2.1
  • DisplayPort 2.0
  • 2x USB-C 4.0
  • 3x USB-A 3.2
  • 3.5 mm audio

A fingerprint sensor and an integrated microphone are also included. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. Both computers measure around 14 × 14 centimetres with a height of 5.5 centimetres.
