Just in: the Pocketbook Verse Lite e-reader for bookworms

The Pocketbook Verse Lite is a classic e-reader without any additional functions.
E-readers have come a long way in recent years and some have a colour display or can be used as a tablet for drawing. If you only want to use an e-reader for reading, the Verse Lite from Pocketbook could be of interest to you. However, it doesn't come without any bells and whistles: you can play Sudoku and chess on the Verse Lite.

According to the manufacturer, the six-inch e-ink display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. The integrated foreground lighting helps in poor lighting conditions. The device does not have speakers.
You can download new reading material to your Verse Lite via 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi. You can use the Pocketbook cloud or Dropbox for this. Eight gigabytes of internal memory are available for your downloads.
Eleven language dictionaries are pre-installed so that you can also read foreign-language literature. 42 additional languages are available for download. The operating system is Linux.
The Verse Lite measures 10.8 × 15.6 × 0.76 centimetres and weighs 170 grams. According to the manufacturer, the battery should last up to four weeks. You can recharge the e-reader via USB-C. A power adapter is not included.
