Fujifilm GFX 100: The megapixel monster at a monster price

The 100 megapixel camera is coming soon. Fujifilm is packing everything it can into this camera, regardless of the price. You have until the end of June to save money.
Fujifilm already revealed at Photokina in September 2018 that it was working on a new medium-format camera with 100 megapixels. However, apart from a mock-up and a few very vague details, there was still no information - not even an approximate release date.
Now Fujifilm is getting specific. The camera is expected to be available from the end of June 2019 and will cost a rifle.

The 102-megapixel sensor features phase autofocus with 3.76 million pixels. This should make focussing much faster than with previous Fujifilm medium format cameras. The autofocus covers practically the entire viewfinder image.
The camera has a built-in 5-axis image stabiliser (IBIS). This is also necessary with this gigantic resolution. Because the higher the resolution, the more visible even the smallest blurs are.
The housing is dust and splash-proof. The usual Fujifilm dials for shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation are missing. Instead, there is a large (1.8 inch) second screen on the top. The main screen is 3.2 inches in size, offers 2.36 megapixels and is movable. The detachable viewfinder has 5.76 megapixels.

Other important key data:
- 4K at 30 fps, recorded via HDMI 4:2:2 with 10 bit
- Improved face and eye detection for autofocus compared to GFX 50S
- Improved subject tracking
- Place for two batteries
- Two SD slots
- 16 bit RAW
- fast Wifi according to standard IEEE802.11ac
You can find even more specs on the product page of the GFX 100.
