The Fantasy Basel cosplay, gaming, comics and all things nerdy trade fair is a must-attend event for digitec. Because where other companies set up one stand, we build dozens. A few stories about working at a trade fair.
Whether it's a POS system with iPads or a stand where you can pull a magic sword out of the stone, hardware from Digitec is everywhere at Fantasy Basel. The gamers at the LAN party? Chances are that the hardware comes from the digitec shop. There are even advertising banners from us here and there at the trade fair.
It would be a bit lengthy to provide you with a list of exactly which of our devices is on the road. That's why we've decided to present you with our totally subjective highlights. If your company or film studio isn't listed here, it's not because we think you're daft, but simply because we've had bigger adventures with other things.
Zenon ZX is the name of the latest PC from digitec. Together with the overclockers from Joule Performance, we have developed a gamer's box. The rough configuration comes from us, the details and tuning from Joule Performance.
The film distributor Universal Studios discovered a problem shortly before setting up its stand: The VR video for the upcoming action-horror film "The Mummy" starring Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella is not working. I fixed it in a three-hour emergency exercise.
What does Warner Bros. need four steam cleaners, over 100 cable ties, sockets, gaffer tape (aka "gaffa tape"), an Allen key and four iPads for? For the interactive stand for the new cinema film "King Arthur", directed by Guy Ritchie. The result: a camera panning around the person who pulls the sword out of the stone.
