EA Sports has comprehensively revised the My Team mode in "F1 25". More control over drivers, sponsors and budget bring new depth to the game: for the first time with an eleventh team on the grid.

With «F1 25», EA Sports is releasing the official simulation for the 2025 Formula 1 season. The game will be released on 30 May 2025 and is now available to pre-order in our shop for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. «F1 25» builds on the existing structures of the previous titles and expands them in a targeted manner. According to the developers, the focus is on technical refinement, more realistic track visualisation and an expanded My Team mode.

My Team 2.0: You as the team owner

The revised My Team mode allows you to add an eleventh team to the starting grid for the first time: including the fictitious APXGP team from the upcoming «F1» film with Brad Pitt or Konnersport from the Braking Point story mode. You take on the role of a team boss. In this position, you hire and develop your two team drivers.

New: On the race weekend, you can decide which of the two drivers you want to drive. EA Sports has also expanded other areas, including the sponsor system. There is now also a «cost cap» (cost limit). So you can't spend an unlimited amount of money.

Career and story mode: always on

In classic career mode, you follow the career of an individual driver. This mode includes adjustments to the driver market, team negotiations and AI strategy. Results, performance and contract options should change dynamically throughout the season.

The Braking Point story mode returns with a third chapter. Once again, you follow the fictional careers of Aiden Jackson, Callie Mayer and Devon Butler. The Konnersport Butler Global Racing Team takes centre stage. The story deals with conflicts within the team, competitive pressure and sporting decisions over the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Tracks and simulation: more precise realisation

According to EA Sports, the five race tracks Bahrain, Imola, Miami, Melbourne and Suzuka have been digitised down to the smallest detail with the help of LIDAR scans. This should make the racing experience feel much more realistic. You can also drive selected race courses in the opposite direction for the first time, including Silverstone, Zandvoort and the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.

The AI reacts to the revised layout with adapted driving behaviour. Overtaking manoeuvres and qualifying tactics should look more realistic. EA also promises a driving behaviour that reacts more strongly to mistakes and at the same time allows more control when driving correctly. Tyre strategy,
