Digitec Podcast Episode 140: How much power does your computer consume?
How much power does a Mac consume compared to a Windows computer? What about a gaming PC? How much does the console suck up in standby mode? We measured and found out some interesting facts. We also talk about GPT-4 and Bard from Google.
In a small field study, we investigated whether it makes no sense to use an expensive gaming PC for office work. We also looked at the differences between various Windows and Mac computers, consumption during gaming and the Playstation compared to the Xbox. Our interim conclusion is: gaming is an inexpensive hobby despite the power consumption - apart from buying overpriced hardware.
Open AI has unveiled the latest version of its intelligent chatbot ChatGPT. Google precedes Microsoft with an announcement and presents its own AI implementation in Google Docs and Gmail. And the tech bros are lamenting the government bailout of their accounts at Silicon Valley Bank.
We've watched "Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves" and now we just want to start our own pen-and-paper campaign.
