We destroy a planet at "Satisfactory"
by Simon Balissat
The Kerbals look like Minions and want to get away from Earth. They have therefore launched a space programme. To mark the anniversary of the moon landing, Phil and I are trying to take a rocket to the moon in the Kerbal Space Programme. You can see whether we succeed from 1pm in the livestream.
"Kerbal Space Programme" (KSP for short) has been around for a few years, but has lost none of its charm. In the game, you lead a space mission to send spaceships and space stations to the furthest reaches of a solar system. With the emphasis on should: It usually takes more rocket tests than North Korea before the first rocket floats into space.
The physics of the rocket engines, planets and moons in "KSP" are simulated very accurately. The protagonists, on the other hand, are not humans, but cute manogles that almost look like Minions. When a rocket burns up in the stratosphere for the tenth time because you have programmed the rocket stages incorrectly, you also suffer along with the daring Kerbal, who has sacrificed his life for "science".
As cute as the Kerbals are, the game is just as complex. It's "Rocket Science" in the truest sense of the word! You can see whether Phil and I can even launch a rocket in the livestream from 1 pm. <p
When I flew the family nest over 15 years ago, I suddenly had to cook for myself. But it wasn’t long until this necessity became a virtue. Today, rattling those pots and pans is a fundamental part of my life. I’m a true foodie and devour everything from junk food to star-awarded cuisine. Literally. I eat way too fast.
