One-man army Rico Rodriguez is back. With grappling hook and wingsuit, he frees the next fictional country from nasty supervillains - and recently also forces of nature. We'll show you just how much chaos you can cause in an hour in our livestream at 12 noon.

At first glance, it's a little surprising that a tropical open-world game is being developed in Sweden. But it's only natural that in a country that hardly sees the sun for half the year and is dominated by snow, the longing for sun, summer and sunshine is at its greatest. That's why Avalanche Studios is returning to a fictional island paradise for the fourth time with main character Rico Rodriguez.

Same, same but with balloons

Little has changed in the gameplay compared to part three. Once again, you can let off steam to your heart's content in a huge game world. The aim is to neutralise the world's largest private army, the Black Hand. The story revolves in particular around the leader Gabriella Morales and an absurd weather machine that can produce hurricanes.

It's getting breezy.
It's getting breezy.

You have countless toys at your disposal on your missions. First and foremost your trusty grappling hook. You can use it to pull yourself up anywhere and catapult yourself into the air, before whizzing through the air with your wingsuit or paraglider. It's even more fun if you combine the grappling hook with your surroundings. How about simply pinning your opponent's jeep to a tree during a wild chase? Or tie the cannon fodder henchmen to a gas tank and then enjoy the fireworks? Your range has now been expanded to include balloons. You can even use them to make tanks float through the air. Combine this with the boosters, which work like small engines, and you have countless ways to cause chaos. And that's what "Just Cause 4" is made for, after all.

You can let off steam in four climate zones. There are not only tropical forests, but also snow-covered mountain peaks and dusty deserts. And everything is plastered with red tanks, generators and satellite dishes. The best conditions for a lot of destruction. Let's see where our livestream takes us. Red barrels, watch out.

"Just Cause 4" was provided to us by Koch Media. The game is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
