KINGZZZ win the first digitec playground cup
by Philipp Rüegg
digitec Playground is entering the next round. And as last time, we’re asking you for help again. The digitec Community will choose which game we’ll play at this year’s digitec Playground cup!
In the final of the first digitec Playground cup, team KINGZZZ faced team Swissbulls. We played the tactical team shooter «Counter-Strike: GO». It was a tough battle, in which team KINGZZZ came out on top. Our editor Simon Balissat and Remo «rMo» Blaser, a professional «CS:GO» for years, presented the cup.
That was last autumn. The second digitec Playground cup – or more precisely, the final round – will take place on 6 June. There will be two qualifying rounds in the weeks before the final. We’re collaborating with our partners Logitech and Asus to provide the winners with great prizes: new gaming hardware.
The community voted for «Counter-Strike: GO» to be played in our first cup. Therefore, you can’t vote for this game again. Some other titles, «Fifa 20» or «League of Legends», for instance, aren’t an option either due to the licensing fees manufacturers charge to play their games at a tournament.
Which game shall we play?
The competition has ended.
The vote is open until the end of the month.
Who can participate?
Theoretically, anyone. However, we’re respecting the age restrictions of the respective games.
When will the cup take place?
The final is on 6 June 2020. The date of the qualifying rounds will be announced together with the winning game. We’re gaming online, so you can play from home.
How can I sign up?
As soon as the voting is over, we’ll publish an article with all further details.
What's there to win?
We’re working with various sponsors such as Logitech and Asus to offer you the most attractive prices possible. More details will follow.

As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly. Only a lack of time and money prevents me from trying out every game there is and decorating my shelf with rare retro consoles.
