Founded in 1948 by Vittorio Bertazzoni of Guastalla, Reggio Emilia, SMEG has mastered the art of transforming simple household appliances into tasteful and elegant solutions in "Made in Italy" standards. The Bertazzoni family's entrepreneurial history begins way back in the 19th century. Starting out as blacksmiths, the Bertazzonis soon branched out into building cookers.
