Works perfectly as a wireless access point
I purchased this when it was on offer at 120 CHF to improve the WiFi quality from a SALT fiber optic router (which itself is awful).
Firstly I set it up as a mesh extender, it worked OK, and was easy enough to set up, however because it was just broadcasting/boosting the same signal as the router it just repeated the dodgy WiFi connection from the source router.
Now, having set it up as an access point connected to LAN, it is broadcasting its own signal under its own SSID it now works perfectly, with a strong reliable signal throughout a 120m2 apartment. Set up was really easy using the Netgear wizard.
If you have a SALT router which appears to be broadcasting a strong reliable signal but you still have internet connection problems over WiFi then this is the answer to all of your problems.
