I don't know why but NW-A45 sounds better.
Edit: After having used this device for 1 year+ I can say that I do not recommend it. The sound quality is not good enough for this price, and especially given that the previous model A45 (now unavailable) sounds just way better in all ways (why you do this sony).
To create a playlist efficiently, plug to pc and create a folder in MUSIC. You are not able to decide the order with this method though (except if you modify music title, which nobody would ever do).
Good device but mainly lacks a bit of bass in my opinion.

- Good equalizer to use
- Sound is Ok.
Contre
- Terrible to create a playlist must add songs 1 by 1 and wait 5 seconds for each song
- Very annoying volume reminder every 2-3 days - cannot remove it. It resets sound to 50
- NW-A45 (previous model) sounded much better
- Lacks a bit of bass
- Interface is quite slow and screen is very, very slow to light up
You can actually remove the Volume Reminder by changing the device's Region Settings using a PC Tool. And there's also a custom Firmware available that tries to mimic the sound signature of the Sony Z1. Search for MrWalkman on Google.
