Question about Sony Bdv-E4100

Hello together I bought the unit to watch Netflix via a beamer. Unfortunately, the internet connection with the device is quite slow, which leads to my 2 questions: -1. can the Blue-ray player also connect to 5Ghz frequencies and if so, what are possible sources of error that it does not find them with me? - 2. what is the best connection to integrate a laptop, from which Netflix is streamed, into this system (laptop 1xHDMI, 1x AUX), beamer (2x HDMI, 1xAUX)?
