How will I be alerted when the battery is running low? It would be stupid if the alarm clock stopped working at night and I wasn't woken up because the battery was empty.

Helpful answer

According to the operating instructions, you should change the batteries as soon as the LCD display becomes darker. However, I have only had the alarm clock for a few months and have not yet had to change the batteries.

I have been using this alarm clock for 5 years now WITHOUT changing the batteries. I had already used the predecessor for about 20 years and I hardly ever had to change the battery. Top product!

Since the alarm clock doesn't have a separate backup battery, I think that one day it will just go silent without warning.
Do a test alarm every month?
My alarm clock has a battery that has lasted almost 1/2 year without any problems.
