Yoo-hoo... Question: I am currently running out of ports. Now my consideration is: - To connect 2 x GS1200-8HP with trunk to each other in the bond (port 7+8). - Connecting through the bond therefore: So that I do not have an eye of a needle (switch to switch). Has anyone here already made experiences, respectively, is this possible without laying the famous "egg in the nest* somewhere? I would be very grateful for any tips. To set up a "real" trunk, active link aggregation according to the IEEE 802.3ad LACP standard should be possible on both switches (including your existing one). The GS1200-8HP has LAG ports (passive link aggregation). For LACP and setting up a trunk, I would recommend the Zyxel GS1900-8HP v2. I have exactly this configuration with a Zyxel GS1920-24v2 in use. You have to compare the datasheets (search for IEEE 802.3ad LACP).
