Will this replacement remote control also work with a ~12 year old KDL-40Z5800? Strictly speaking, it is a KDL-40Z5810 but this was only supplied to specialist dealers although ours came from Digitec.

I ordered this remote control and it works directly without having to set up anything > clear recommendation.

Minimal point of criticism:
Because it is square/edged, it doesn't feel so good in the hand.

Unfortunately, I can't answer that. However, the remote control works with the KDL-55HX820, which is also almost 10 years old.
