I bought the following window seal. Not 100% tight, but keeps the heat out well.

I didn't go to that much trouble, I put the pipe at the end of the plastic part and brought it to the open window, pulled the window itself back as far as it would go and then 'sealed' the whole thing as far as possible with a heavy curtain. Not 100% effective, but useful as it is easy to clear away after the heat.
