If you really want to expand the storage in the HomeBase itself (and it is displayed directly in the eufy app as a local drive, for example), you will need to install a 2.5″ SATA HDD or SSD, which you will not normally find directly as an "external USB drive". These can be searched for separately at Galaxus via the category "Hard drives / SATA 2.5″".
