Where can I find a device like this that switches off at 10 mA instead of 30? (The fuse in my flat already switches itself off at 30 mA, which makes the plug redundant).
The 30mA is required for personal protection; according to the standard, between 50% and 100% of this current must be triggered, i.e. 15mA to 30mA. I always use this adapter from Steffen when I want to test devices in the repair café, for example, and want to prevent the fuse from being blown by the device. The practical thing is that one appliance is then protected locally. So far the switch is quite practical from my point of view. Hope that helps. I haven't found an RCD adapter with the desired rated tripping current, I think the answer lies in the required rated currents for personal protection.
