What is the difference between this version and the Paralles Desktop 18 on a plan basis? Thank you for your support :-)
The main difference between a one-time purchase version and a subscription-based version of Parallels Desktop, as with version 18, lies in the following aspects:
## Upgrades and versions
- With a one-time purchase version, you will not receive free upgrades to future versions of Parallels Desktop. The licence is only valid for the purchased version and is subject to the end-of-life policy.
- With a plan-based version, you will receive free upgrades to future versions of Parallels Desktop as they become available.
## Term and renewal
- A one-time purchase version has no expiry date, but you will only receive minor updates and fixes for the purchased version until it reaches end-of-life.
- A plan-based version must be renewed regularly. The plan is automatically renewable by default, and if payment is not made, a grace period comes into effect after which the plan expires.
## Support
- With a one-time purchase version, you receive 30 days of telephone and Chat Support as well as email support for two years from the release date of the version.
- With a subscription-based version, you receive support for the entire duration of the plan.
## Additional tools
- A one-time purchase includes a three-month subscription to Parallels Toolbox for Mac and Windows.
- With a subscription-based version, Parallels Toolbox is valid for the duration of the plan.
These differences will help you decide whether a one-time purchase or a subscription plan is better suited to your needs.
