What is the difference between the A/CH version and the International Edition?

Now I just have to find out what that means in concrete terms.
I did some research on the internet and didn't really find out whether Annex A is necessary or whether Annex B is also possible...
The A/CH version also supports Annex A for analogue connections and the other version only Annex B, which is compatible with ISDN connections. In Switzerland, Annex A is mainly switched on because nowadays fixed network telephony is offered via VOIP. Annex A uses a different frequency on the copper cable than Annex B.
