What exactly is meant by "WLAN optional"? Is there a built-in module that can be used "optionally"? If so, is this only set up as an access point to the NAS or can it also be used as an access point for third-party devices to the network, as with the Air models? I can hardly find any information on this.

I don't have this in operation myself, but with the following dongles it might work to integrate it into the network. Of course not comparable with LAN.
