You need a normal GSM SIM card (no 5G) that supports GSM (2G/3G) with the frequencies 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz. The SIM card should ideally allow a phone credit + SMS and basic voice telephony, because the system can make calls and send/receive SMS.
