We use it in our fumoir as an exhaust fan. Are there replacement carbon filters available, how should the thing be maintained so that there are no problems?

Has no carbon filter. Simply a sieve. Sieve can be washed out. It's best to wash it out in the sink and against tar. You can try it out. Should be similar to a steam extractor bonnet. Never done it before. Because I don't smoke in the flat. Otherwise I always vacuumed dust and animal hair.
