Question about Beurer LB 300 Plus

We only plan to use the humidifier at night. Do we need to remove the water and dry the filter after each night if we are not using the humidifier during the day? If I understand correctly, we would also need to soak the dried filter for 30 minutes every evening before using it again. Can anyone confirm this?

I would never think of drying in the morning and moistening in the evening.... I run the thing in automatic mode during the heating period and it works perfectly. It needs water about every 2 days. I only switch it off, empty it and clean it when I'm away for longer periods. My interpretation, without liability!
