We have had this device for 4 years. When I switched it off, it continued to buzz without displaying anything else. For some time now, it has just suddenly switched off, in the middle of watching a DVD. When I try to turn it on again, it doesn't work straight away. It always switches to VHS even though we only watch DVDs. And now for 3 days it won't turn on at all. There is only a short click for 3-4 seconds and then it goes out again. what can this be?
The device is at a friend of mine's and she also knows the errors with the DVD. Sometimes it works directly and without interruption, then again the DVD does not jump on or goes to the beginning or hangs. So far it is still intact - about 3 years old. This ¨error¨ was there from the beginning and since she is extremely accommodating and can deal with it well, she has kept the device. However, I know that this is a known ¨error¨ and has apparently never been eradicated - as far as I know, the device can no longer be purchased. It is therefore not possible to eradicate it.
