UPC was forced to accept third-party products in addition to its own rent-only setup boxes for the coaxial cable connection. this probably also applies to Swis.IPTV competitor product available for purchase ?

Via IPTV, there are a lot of IPTV providers that run with such stream boxes. However, we have not yet found a box that can receive the official Swisscom IPTV stream content. You could take an Android streambox and stream the channels on it via Zattoo/Teleboy:
