Question about Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway UCG-Fiber

Unfortunately, I can't get the UCG-Fibre to work on a Green.ch XGS-PON connection with 1 Gigabit. Instead of the FritzBox 5530 XGS-PON, I have tried to put the same module into operation with the UCG-Fibre. Even with activated DHCP option 60 configured to 100008,0001 and VLAN ID set to 10 I was not successful. I set the DNS server to Auto, QoS Tag to None, DHCP CoS to None, and then I also tried Clone MAC Address and entered the WAN MAC of the FritzBox from the Green.ch portal. Various constellations were unfortunately not successful. Does anyone have any ideas? https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/geraet/internet/fremdrouter.html#acc-GPrYaA%5Bselected%5D%5B%5D=0

Question to the user: which transceiver are you using? I used to have a dreammachine and it worked fine with the allnet XGS onu stick https://shop.allnet.de/Produkte.... With Ubiquity the IPTV is a problem because there are problems with Muticast. In my opinion this has been fixed with the latest software.

I am also at green.ch with 1 Gb/s and it works for me with the TP-Link module TL-SM321B

@grandpiano07
Where in the green.ch portal did you find the MAC address?

Incidentally, the Fritzbox 5530X cannot be used as a bridge, so the product is unsuitable. The Zyxel PM7300 product is also approved as a bridge modem on the Swisscom update list valid from 20 January 2025. I strongly assume that green.ch also accepts this product. Probably the cheapest solution for you.

Perhaps as an addendum. Swisscom also has a list of authorised devices. If you have a Centro Business Router version, for example, you can connect it upstream as a "bridge". I don't know whether this also works with the well-known IB. Alternatively, the Nokia and the Calix Bridge are also authorised. It is important that the bridge mode and the correct base-Fec protocols are available so that it is authorised. As an alternative, I recommend using P-P instead of XG/XGS. Then you will have a real 10GB/s instead of these 8.2 -8.7 GB/s. But that's a question of price. All you need is the right provider and an LR BiDi transceiver with the right wavelengths. Then you're ready to go
