Top device. The only "problem" is that the Denon does not automatically recognise 5.1 or Dolby Atmos via the ARC channel. According to the manufacturer, the "Auto" function should automatically recognise the signal as 5.1 or Atmos. Even if you switch to the 5.1 channel in the Netflix app, only stereo is recognised. However, as soon as you manually select "Dolby Surround", 5.1 seems to work. It does not recognise Atmos via ARC or eARC. I have updated everything and set it up again without success. Also fitted an HDMI 2.1 cable for the eARC to the correct ports. Otherwise, everything works perfectly (even Atmos via HDMI input). It is also possible that the fault lies with the TV (Sony AF9) as it is still quite new.

Helpful answer

For me, this AVR recognises Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital 5.1 right away. The signal should not be processed before the AVR.
