TP-Link Deco M4 AC1200
TP-Link Deco M4 AC1200
This set is somewhat cheaper than the newer TP-Link Deco X50 2-pack. Does the TP-Link Deco X50 set of 2 have any relevant advantages/improvements? I would need it at home because the WLAN in two rooms has pretty weak reception. This means I would connect the TP-mesh router to my main router (wingo) via cable and switch off the WLAN on the wingo router. I would set up the second TP device in the set at a different location in the flat.
I don't have anything to compare it to, but it works, I have six Decos in two flats connected as a mesh network.
We have the same setup with the M4 as you describe (simply with a router from UPC) - works perfectly!
As far as I can see, the X50 offers higher transmission data (2 gigabits/sec compared to 867 megabits/sec with the M4). However, you also need devices that support WiFi6 for these high transfer rates ...
