Is there any reason why a mixed system consisting of UAP-AC-Lite and UAP-AC-LR should not be used?

No, I operate my Wifi system in this way (Pro and LR), but the "LR" is of no use to you because (in Switzerland) it does not work with a higher transmission power (regulatory limitation). I don't notice any difference between a Pro and LR in terms of reception and transmission power.

I recently set up a system "only" with Lite devices, works perfectly and whether you really need the higher data throughput at home (difference between Lite and Pro devices) remains to be seen.
Experience has shown that it is "more efficient" to work only with the Lite devices, but with one more access point.

I am not sure if the answer from XMDS is correct. According to various sources, the "LR" model achieves its higher range not through the transmission power, but through an improved antenna design, which also picks up signals from more distant and weakly transmitting devices.
In this respect, the legal restriction on transmitting power should not change the fact that the LR tends to be able to serve a higher range.
