Question about Marmitek Invisible Control 6 Xtra

Some questions say that it doesn't work with some devices. Isn't it actually just a bridging of the signal? Or does it work differently if it doesn't work with some devices? Is there a list where you can look? I just want to be able to close the TV cabinet door.
