So the two devices in the socket must always be connected with a LAN cable? It is not the case that the one device in the socket (receiver) does not emit WLAN but must be connected to the computer with a network cable? Thank you for an answer

Yes, THIS Devolo product has no WLAN function at all.
But I use it to connect my smart TV to the Internet without having to have a WLAN active...
