Apple Mac Mini - Late 2020
M1, 8 GB, 256 GB, M1
Sali zäme From my older MacMini I still have two 2 GB DDR2 SO DIM RAM slots from Samsung (PC 667 5300 and PC 800 6400). Could I use them in the new MacMini M1 to "upgrade" the existing 8 GB at a reasonable price? If so, can I do this myself or is this a service provided by you?
No
1. RAM with DDR2 would not work because current devices (whether Mac or PC) use DDR4. This does not fit mechanically at all.
2. RAM and SSD cannot be upgraded on the M1. Simply because the two things are soldered together or combined with other things to form a chip. That's why there is no possibility to change anything afterwards.
