Question about Zyxel AX7501
Really disappointing that this router you get with the Galaxus Internet plan is so limited. I can't even create a VLAN. It's a mystery to me why this has to be extended. Is there any way to upload a different firmware or simply use a different router?
The router is operated with the Galaxus Internet subscription with customised firmware from the supplier. Therefore, certain functions (e.g. VLAN or bridge mode) are limited and it is not possible to install your own firmware.
The use of another router is also not officially supported, as the connection is managed on several network levels by the supplier and the Zyxel AX7501 provided is intended for this purpose.
As a possible alternative, you can at most operate your own router behind the device (e.g. via DMZ or port forwarding) to utilise additional functions.
