Question about AVM FRITZ!Box 4020 International

Question about AVM FRITZ!Box 4020 International or other routers. I am an M-Budget customer and have a Winbox that can't do much. I know you don't get much for little money either, even from Migros aka Swisscom. So my question is, can I get a network-compatible system by connecting a Fritz Box or similar router? Or is there a router I can replace the Winbox with? Thank you for your feedback.
