On the outdoor unit, does the condensate water evaporate to the air or does it drain and leave a mess? Also anyone compare it to the Argo Ulisse 13 DCI Eco? What's best? Thank you.

Helpful answer

Hello, yes, that's exactly how it works. The condensate evaporates in the outdoor unit. I think the unit is not bad. It is, in night mode, one of the quietest units. The remote control takes a little getting used to and doesn't react quite as quickly as one would like. Otherwise, it's a good device. Greetings Colin

The condensate is pumped to the outdoor unit. It evaporates there, and what has not evaporated can be poured off via the "drain plug". It can happen that, depending on when the indoor unit last pumped condensate to the outdoor unit, there is still water in the outdoor unit.

Draining the water from the outdoor unit is not quite trivial, depending on the type of installation and the 12 kilos.
I have found the following solution:

The indoor unit also has a condensate water tank (and also a drain hose). The indoor unit only pumps the condensate water to the outdoor unit when the tank on the indoor unit is full (or has reached a certain level). I simply empty the condensate water tank on the indoor unit from time to time. This way, the condensate water from the indoor unit is not pumped to the outdoor unit, and I can take the unit directly inside without having to pour out the water at the outdoor unit. It is even better to simply drain the water from the indoor unit 1-2 hours before switching off the air conditioner, so that no new water comes to the outdoor unit and the remaining water can still evaporate until the air conditioner is switched off.

I have also compared all the mobile split units on Digitec, and I find this unit the best. For example, the rollers are a must for a tare weight of 50 kg. Also carabiners and straps for mounting on a parapet.
