Ubiquiti UniFi WiFi 7 Pro-Max
8600 Mbit/s
okay I don't get it, to max out speed you need to use a 2.5Gbit/s network but all POE injector I've seen below 200 CHF are 100 Mbit/s to 1000 Mbit/s Poe need to be at least delivering more than 46W so the PoE ultra+ https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/ubiquiti-u-poe-poe-injector-network-accessories-39243296 or the https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/ubiquiti-usw-lite-8-poe-8-ports-network-switches-13751323 but both are limited to 1000 Mbit/s So to use this Wifi7 pro max and power it, what do you need?
I asked their chatgpt on unify website ....
Currently, UniFi does not offer a PoE injector that supports 2.5 Gbit/s and delivers up to 60W of power. The available PoE++ Adapter (60W) supports only Gigabit (1000 Mbit/s) speeds.
For higher-speed requirements, you might consider using a UniFi switch with 2.5 GbE ports and PoE++ output. Here are some options:
Pro Max 16 PoE: 4 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE++
Pro Max 24 PoE: 8 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE++
Pro Max 48 PoE: 16 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE++
Enterprise 8 PoE: 8 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE+
Enterprise 24 PoE: 12 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE+
Enterprise 48 PoE: 48 ports with 2.5 GbE and PoE+
These switches can provide the necessary power and speed for your devices.
The Ubiquiti Poe++ Injector works without any problems with 2.5 Gbps link.
