I have been using it for many years in my private and professional life.
If Norton warns you of a potential risk with a piece of software, you can exclude it from the Norton process with a single click.

I very rarely find false alarms. I often install software and don't notice any problems there either.  However, I do not install software from dubious sources. And thanks to the browser extension, my downloads are checked and SafeSearch warns me about poisoned websites. What's so pestilent about that... is beyond me.
