Question about Sony HT-S40R
My question about this product may seem a little strange at first glance, but it is: With many products, manufacturers force you to use some kind of app, register the product, etc. I don't want that. I don't want that. Nobody needs to know what I'm listening to and I don't need any more software to simply use something: Speakers. I just want to connect the HDMI output of my NUC and adjust the volume using the remote control. That's it. No mobile, no account, no app. That's what it looks like here, but I'm not sure.

Simply plug in and switch on. If necessary, select the audio source on the TV. Done. Once set up on the TV, it's done.

It's been a while since the installation, but as far as I remember you didn't need Inet for it.
No need for an app - the sound modes can be controlled with the remote control.
