My module and my smart card were detected by my TV set (Durabase), so I concluded that it was compatible. But that's it, it's no longer detected, and the satellite channel search came up empty. The red label is upside down. There are tiny scratches that don't seem to me to be the result of inserting it into the TV (they're on the side where you insert the card, and although I didn't immediately know which way to insert it, I didn't force it). I wonder whether the product is faulty or not. Have I done something completely wrong? I put the smart card in several ways, several tries, and at one point I inserted the module into the TV receiver while it was switched on (which didn't seem to have any particular effect, but I don't know). Is that enough to make it unusable? I don't know if it's worth asking for a return, to make the guarantee work. I have no experience of this type of device. I haven't dropped it and I wonder if the upside-down label is typical of something... ???
Thank you for taking the time to post the solution. :D
As far as I'm concerned, the module isn't faulty despite its looks!!! Try again. It's an initial re-installation (settings, parameters) that prevents my TV from disconnecting it. Asked to remove the module first, device switched off and useless anyway. And obviously, it's better to put the module in the TV without the smart card, then slide the card in afterwards. It's the owner of the TV who's making mistakes and has no control over her set. So don't be fooled by appearances!
