Keywords power supply / transformer / power supply unit: Does this alarm clock need a power supply unit or does it run on 240 V? Or is a power supply unit or transformer built into the device? I would like to have as little electromagnetic radiation around my bed as possible.

It requires the enclosed power supply unit. The transformer is in the plug that must be plugged into the socket.
