Just to be sure (because I've seen the reviews and questions and some contradict each other), does it cool the room? - Is the plug and German and if so, does it come with an adapter? - On the pictures, you can't see the plug cord. Does it have to charge the battery or can it be left attached to the plug?

The plug is normally Swiss, but if it is German, a mini adapter is supplied free of charge. This does not change the use of the product and the plug will be only slightly longer.
