It seems the thing is phoning home. Telemetry, whatever TP Link Spyware means by telemetry. Why can't network devices just do what they're supposed to do and shut up about the network? TP Link has no business in my network.

Yes, you can also manage the network via an app from outside, which I find practical and good. For example, when a new device connects to the network (mobile) you get a message and can block it immediately if it is suspicious. I can also control traffic in the house, e.g. restrict my daughter's use if she spends too long on her mobile or the TV (Netflix) etc. All good! Greetings
