It looks like the extender can only be used with encryption. I already have several dLan 500 adapters extenders in operation without encryption. How can I put this dLan550 into operation without modifying the existing infrastructure?

Super device!
It passes on the lousy signal it receives from the router without any loss.
Thanks to this device, I now have unrestricted lousy Wi-Fi on my terrace. Before, only indoors.
