Henkel's numbering system is complicated. Even different numbers in the USA compared to EU. The following should help...
Loctite 243 Blue is 'medium strength' formula for metal threads like nuts/bolts. The benefit is that it lcan be removed (with force).
Loctite 290 Green is 'high strength'
Loctite 272 Red is 'heavy-duty strength' and is permanent but expensive
Loctite 221/222 Purple is 'low strength'
