Is this the same as H9992/12 or a previous model? This one says 3 steps and the 9992-12 says 5 steps.

The information at Digitec is not quite correct.
There is only one toothbrush HX9992 (11/12 refers to the colour). It has 3 intensity levels High, Medium, Low.
And 5 cleaning modes: clean mode, deep clean mode, white+ mode, gum care mode, sensitive mode.
