I have just received the PC and 2x 32GB = 64GB in total were installed. This also corresponds to my expectation. 2 of 4 slots are occupied accordingly.

It is also possible that the systems differ depending on component availability, provided the technical specifications are met. Of course, dual channel would be preferable.
