Question about Boneco H300

I would stay away from this product, it uses discs to do the humdification, meaning the discs rotate and a ventilator blows air through the system. The problem with such discs, they need to be cleaned regularly, you need to change the water because it starts to smell quickly. Worst case, you have a lot of bacteria in the water, okay the filter for filtering air cleans all this, but the high maintenance and the regularly replacement of the air filter, not worth the super high price..

If you want to have a humidifier, I recomend to go with a separate product and for the air purification, there is nothing better than Xiaomi Air Purifier. They are effective, have great filtration (huge 360 degree filter drum vs tiny sheet in the Boneco) and the filter can be vacuumed and reset and re-used, because the filter replacement intervals are for highly polluted China and India regions okay, here in Switzerland I clean the dust on the surface from time to time and reset my filter interval.

I have both products since many years, regarding the smell, yes also happening with the Xiaomi humidifier when it runs out, you have to clean it too, but I use the air purifier every day during the year, the humidifier I use maybe from November to April and this is okay.

I use it and the water evaporates - no germs so far - and the wheel-filter is machinewashable, the tray and the wheel is dishwashable - something i did not have with "another chinisium" product. No, it's not, because i baught it and it appears to be swiss and i'm supposed to be proud of it - i'm absolutely not. It's simple, basic with a few moving parts, nothing fancy that can break after a few days of use ...

Xiaomi on the other hand... well get qualified service, when those things brck themselves...
