Question about Synology BeeStation

Thank you for your answers. Very exciting. My device also seems to have become a little quieter after the first 48 hours. I wish it was even quieter, but I probably can't expect that from an HDD and an active fan. Even if it is a bit nonsensical for the intended purpose, I would prefer one with a flash drive/ssd for my next purchase.

The thing is standing 1 metre next to me in the office. I can't hear a thing. It is extremely quiet both when stationary and under load. I only hear it when I listen carefully and only under load.

In our house, the device is behind the living room sofa and is barely audible.
It only works a little louder when uploading.

yes, it is quite noisy when it is active (uploading photos / files). not suitable for the bedroom 🤣
